Vanilla Pudding Recipe From Scratch

Don't be surprised if you serve up bowlfuls of this creamy, soothing dessert all year long! This Vanilla Pudding recipe is quick and easy to prepare. Moreover, it can be customized with different flavors to make it more appealing. Ingredients 1/3 cup sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1/8 teaspoon salt 2 cups milk 2 large egg yolks, slightly beaten 2 tablespoons butter, softened 2 teaspoons vanilla Steps 1. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Add sugar, cornstarch, and salt and mix well. Slowly stir in milk. 2. In a saucepan, boil and stir the hot mixture one minute, then remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. Stir in at least half of the hot mixture to egg yolks, and then stir back into hot mixture in saucepan. 3. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Pour into dessert dishes.
